just bought four tickets for't paint pot trophy game on satdi. this means the 'not a penny more' campaign has failed dismally as well. oh well it looks like i am just another mug punter after all....especially after posting this in another fred:- the club can do no wrong in some peoples eyes......whether thats cos they are on the payrole or just brown nosers i dont know. This will not change so there is no point arguing about it. The one thing that is clear is that we are currently in a sorry state so surely something needs to be done? Just what i don't profess to know; i will leave the self presumed educated members of this fine forum to discuss that. My own thoughts are.....i have been following bfc for 40 years now and cannot remember being so disullionsed with the club and its hangers on. Either i am just getting bored with being a gullible supporter or the club doesn't know what its doing and is descending in to a tail spin. Whatever the reason is, thereev has never been closer to jacking it all in in regards to attending matches.....and this hurts cos i have 2 bin lids who i would love to be lifelong fans, but currently a role of being a loving father really ought to be tellin em not to bother cos its a waste of time, effort and money.hth It appears there really is no hope for reevy....
Lets hope you don't regret it Mr Reev! The Dr can't make it sadly as i'm on my Jollies down in St Just. Up the Reds!
I caved in after the Blackpool game, Mr Reevy! Go forth, and sin no more. For your pennance say three Hail Mary's
I will be there with the 3 Junior Didcot Red's. The last time I saw them in a final was the County Cup back in the 60's COYR
Good god the County Cup that is another blast from the past! Another pointless competition if i remember correctly
That last comment reminded me of our County Cup match against a very good Sheffield United team (they were to win promotion to the old First Division at the end of the season) during 1970/71. After being 2-0 down, we rallied to win 3-2 with Eddie Loyden getting a hat trick. Barnsley being Barnsley, we sold Loyden the next day to Chester for about £3000!
