nothing goes to my head unless it involves fishing. And this shitty wine the missus has brought. however, for once this season im actually UP and looking forward to going to Oakwell.
have you had your invite from Patrick??? new marketing manager. You'll have to abandon the maggot tin if you accept
haven't used a maggot for months! Fishing chopped worm and caster or bloodworm/joker over a dark groundbait. Done okay. Going this week some time i'll take some maggot as a change bait as now its warming up i'll fish soft expander over soaked feed pellet see if the bream have woken up. Might even get the waggler rod out if the wind drops off.
like a pratt I broke the top 2" off my waggler, you don't know anywhere I could get it fixed or buy a new top section do you?
good question, can't remember and can't be arsed to go and look. I'll have a look tomorrow and drop you a line. Someone told me theres a place at conisborough that mends them, can't remember its name
Pauls of denaby will. Just outside conisborugh on the main road to swinton. They migh thave to bugger about with the eyes though to keep a good action. Ring them up and ask them for a quote. I've just rid of two of my old ones otheriwse id have done you one cheap.
I was a bit worried that I would lose some of the action and you've just confirmed it. Might see if I can get a replacement instead.
unless it is daiwa MAP/LEEDA and shimano you maybe struggling to get a replacement tip if it is over 5 years old as thats the trade standard for keeping spares worth asking minds as you never know your luck! If you do need to buy a new rod, shop around as some older models that are discontinued are often knocked down to a less than cost price. Fishermens freind have loads of Shimano and Dam rods at good money
