We are writing to let you know we are having to cancel next weeks school trip to Hornsea after previous trips down the pit and into the Peak District. We have taken the decision after continued problems in the classroom despite rewarding them generously. Those at the back of class have not been talking to each other resulting in a very inconsistent level of work. The ones sat in the middle have forgotten everything we taught them about their passing exams skills and those at the front refuse to finish their work off on time.
We hope that the trip to Sundown for Christmas can go ahead but we will need to see a big improvement from everyone.

    Yours sincerely

    The headmaster

I thought they were going to Hogwarts for a game of Quidditch?

On this point. It's clear the use of the Kane in class has little or no effect on performance.
