You went on about maximising the clubs income and that we need to improve off the field, one of the area's was sponsorship...

    Rotherham's managed it

    http://www.rothbiz.co.uk/2012/06/news-2814-kcm-make-last-stand-at-new.html

    Pikey's managed 3 stands

    http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/page/KeepmoatStadiumSeatingPlan

Two clubs smaller than ourselves, seem to be able to attract sponsorship of their stands and generate a bit of income. Are the club doing enough off the field, 75% of season ticket holders have renewed during tough times maybe the club could pull their finger out a bit off it. The club recently said that a new videoboard would be purchased if they could find sponsorship for it? any further on with this?

We seem to be on a bit of a high regarding the recent signings and there's a bit of hope for next season, if we could tie up a few deals off the field it could be a decent season for us.

We need to be tapping into the dot com market before others do, also we could use the club as a marketing tool for major company's if they get there fingers out of there arse

Three stands currently stand there earning nothing, beggars can't be choosers.

Even if we can't find a stand sponsor surely we can sell empty seat space for a company to throw segregation netting with their company details on.

Mate of mine runs a shop in Tarn centre, he's got a board on the East Stand for next Season.

Apparently, a 3rd party company rang him to offer him the chance to buy one etc. So we don't seem to manage that bit, either.

Wonder if the shorts sponsor has been approached or not? l'll ask him this weekend, doubt it though he's probably asked them. Drove through Manvers last night and they must have created a new village with about 500 new houses being built once its completed, possible outsiders moving into the area. I wonder if we've thought of advertising down there? Sure Rotherham will have a go with their new stadium up and running. Mark Stokes has commented in the past saying they haven't got the money for advertising campaigns, especially like the one with the free child ST a few years ago. We aren't going to go anywhere then are we?

This has baffled me for years. I can not see how this hasn't been done yet.

The lack of stand sponsors is also crazy in this day and age.

Exactly pal. Half of the North Stand is regularly empty. As is half of the west stand. Get some segregation netting over the seats with a company on.

A person I know who works high up for them said they got rid because they couldn't condone wasting the money to sponsor a footie team in the current economic climate. With hours there being cut back, people being laid off etc it looks bad to be spending thousands on a footie club, which is understandable.

you could just swap some red seats for white seats and do a proper job for a proper company we need to stop messing about with small time companys and start thinking big, we've got to start selling the company better then we are doing

Yep, i've mentioned it a few times on this board now.

I hope they do something about it soon, missing out on revenue left, right, and centre.
