Just had a look at the board and it mentions a fan who died on Saturday. Was this the bloke who collapsed at the game??
I nearly collapsed when Colgan let that goal in, and then again when he saved the Penalty - just about managed to hold back the tears...emotional stuff
be sad if its the same guy because a west ham fan died at the fa cup final and now this. the ground must be cursed.
There was a guy in an away shirt who collapsed at the services on way down...paramedics there in the cafe area giving him oxygen and then they took him in ambulance
Very sad... Taken from the official site -
BARNSLEY Football Club are extremely saddened to learn of the death of Reds fan Colin Trickett following Saturday's Coca Cola League One Play Off Final at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.
Colin was a life-long supporter and a season ticket holder in the East Stand Lower Tier, Gangway Four, Row K, Seat 105. He paid to sponsor his seat during the Club's spell in administration.
The 72-year-old, from Broadway, Barnsley, collapsed ten minutes from the end of Saturday's Play Off Final victory over Swansea City and sadly died in hospital later that night.
Barnsley Football Club would like to offer its most sincere condolences to Colin's family and friends and this very difficult time.

I think I know the guy you mean Was that at Worcester services? My mate had a fit at Worcester services and had to be taken to hospital. I wasn't with him then, though I saw him last night. Hes okay, apart from having bitten his tongue when he was fitting.
RE: I think I know the guy you mean Probably those services, glad to hear he's ok....did he make it to the match?
RE: I think I know the guy you mean No, they turned round and went home. I think the people he was with (including his dad) were a bit too freaked out to concentrate on football. All been a bit nuts really. My dad couldn't go cos he collapsed the week before, and i broke my toe and nearly couldn't make it, then my bezzer mate has a fit on the way and has to go to hospital. Weird. Still, the old lad dying at the game changes the perspective doesnt it.
They are just helping people, who may not know him by name, identify him I find jokes re this sort of thread rather sick and unnecessary
RE: They are just helping people, who may not know him by name, identify him Weren't really meant as a joke, mate, just being a bit flippant. Apologies, and god bless the poor fella and his family.
RE: RIP He will have seen mate - make no mistake about that. Can't think of a better way to go myself? Very sad - RIP
RE: Very sad... We had an old boy on our coach, from club coach 14, who didn't make it back after the game. We waited nigh on 40 minutes, didn't show. Wonder if it was Mr Trickett, God bless Him.
