Andy Rammell at Blackburn. It's 1-1 and we've got a freekick in the opposition half. Andy Rammell comes on as sub. The ball is floated in to the area, Rammell gets up in front of their 'keeper, gets a flick on it and it's in the back of the net. He's been on the pitch five seconds. We win the game 2-1.

    Any others?

    Jay Rodriguez?

Scored with his first touch, think he'd been on the field a minute and a half against Preston.

Quickest debut goal for players who started the game must be Carl Bradshaw against Palace. Half a minute before he scored.

    Wayne Biggins?

I seem to remember Wayne Biggins scored a goal on his debut almost exactly like Scotland's last night. Left foot blast from the edge of the box at the Ponty end. No doubt someone will confirm/correct me.

I also remember big Trev scoring with a chip from the Ponty End car park against Brighton.

    It wasn't his debut

He made that the previous week in a 2-1 defeat at Leicester, although he did score our goal.

    Re: Wayne Biggins?

First match of the season, many years ago.
Think his name was Sigi Johnsson. First game for us
Scored after about 12 seconds from kickoff.

    Or am I talking tosh?

    Carl Bradshaw

Larry May got sent off that day for belting future Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine.

Maybe I am thinking of his home debut then? I certainly remember him scoring in the first few minutes of a home game at the Ponty end.

    Yup, bang on mate

His second that day was a back heel.
And big Trev was stood in the East Dene car park when he chipped the ball in against Brighton.
