Anyone noticed how those 'loveable' rogues from Sheff seem to have an uncanny knack of dreaming up really daft chants/songs eg Sheff U - the chip butty song..............Sheff wed- singing something that sounds like the Adams Family theme- and also remember them singing 'Honolulu Baby' a few years back ( sung originally by Laurel and Hardy!)..................................BFC fans may not always have the most original chants but at least we don't sound like a set of drunken pensioners on a trip out to the bingo.
But cant you why they think were a bunch of yokels, United have that chip butty song, and the best we can come back with his YRA, You reds, or theres only one, I appreciate the passion its sung with but it is a bit basic. We should come up with our own chip butty song, if ya know what I mean. Even in premiership we ripped off youll never walk alone, and for me that cheer up Mark McGhee got a but embarrasing.
The "Chip butty" song would just be embarrassing - and how many of those that sing it even know what Magnet is, never mind having had a pint….probably too busy supping Carling or summat similar.
But by that token, how many people chant SCAB at notts forest fans, i bet alot of them dont know what one is. Our chants are rather basic, At West Brom they all go BOING, BOING, theres the chip butty song and loads of others, we go, Ricthie, give us a wave, (Or did), or YRA. I do like that "you are my Barnsley, my only barnsley" one"but we dont seem to do that much

You may be right .......... ........ think that line might have got changed to .... 'till you take my Barnsley away' ..... when a certain owner was in charge and rumours were rife of him shutting the club down to build on the land etc. (allegedly!).... seem to remember singing that song over and over again, away at Peterbro on a Tuesday night, and the sentiment was certainly aimed at that person at that time!
