Not that one. Hallam v Sheffield tonight in the Sheffield Senior Cup. “Oldest competitive game in the world” supposedly. Crowd of 1400 expected. Got to say I do enjoy going up to Hallam. Supporters always get a warm welcome. It’s a good atmosphere and certainly a more family orientated environment than some league games. Not there tonight but I’m interested in the outcome.
Tonight The world's oldest derby match returns as Hallam FC take on Sheffield Football Club at the world's oldest football ground, Sandygate, in the Men's Senior Cup quarter-final. It's 164 years since the sides first played each other at the same venue, and they'll meet again tonight in front of a sell-out crowd of 1,496. Whoever makes it through to the semi-final will be up against strong competition.
