I wasn't over-hopeful in advance today, but the absence of Pearson and Scowan seemed to rob us of two players who have made the difference. I thought we faced Preston up pretty well in the first half, and we were unfortunate to go in a goal down. I thought that provided we didn't fold, I could live with losing this game in circumstances where we were putting up a spirited showing and letting Preston know they were in a game.

Over the past few seasons, when we have come out a goal down, there hasn't seemed to be the drive and impetus of old to get at the opposition and try to claw something back. Today was massively different. We had spirit and drive, and kept the energy levels up to the end. A richly deserved point. And one that Davies earned on his own with that incredible save in the first half (shades of Gordon Banks?).

This was a good point on the pre-match outlook, but without our two midfield generals, and coming from behind, it's a terrific indicator of how far the team has progressed since Danny's departure. Very well done to the lads.

I thought today was the first really big test of our play off credentials and I think we passed with flying colours. We lost two influential players pre match but were the better team and deserved to win the game in my opinion.

Best ive seen us play this season that second half had them on the ropes after we scored and if there were to be a winner it was looking like us. Hoping for a point and a win in our next two games keep us in the play off mix.
