not checked my facts but off the top of my head...I think the teams with the three best defences were promoted to the Championship last year. Of those only one were in the top 8 top scorers in the league. Bearing in mind we are scoring quite freely but still to keep a clean sheet, and don't look like keeping one, would you rather we play like we are and look leaky or tighten up and probably look less attacking and attractive?
Well I've always thought the key to sustained success, not just the first 4 games, is to have a sound defence. I said at the beginning of the season we would have problems in that dept., but our goals conceded tally is probably as much to do with our 'up and at them' style just now. It appears to be catching a few off-guard, but if we start on a losing streak I expect we'll attempt to tighten up then. Ritchie however knows these players are at their best playing with pace and attacking. If we try to be more solid and defence-minded it may not work that well with these players.
RE: A R strategy with this is i would rather see a 3-2 vicotry rather than a 1-0. with devaney and mcindoe on the wings we r always going to be attacking as they arent the best at tracking back
