Still worries me that we concede very easily on deliveries into 6-10 yards from goal. Steele not commanding enough to attack ball and we haven't got a centre half who has aerial domination.....unless Nyatanga takes up this mantle? We will need to score a few this coming season, because I can't see a tight defensive unit.
Our defence was pretty decent towards the end of last season, I'm confident enough come August 3rd we'll be ready.
I think people pay far too much attention to what happens in friendlies these days. There all about a players fitness and getting a few legs stretched, the result and performance is irrelevant. If it was relevant then Manuel Pellegrini would have been sacked by now. We'll be fine solong as McNulty doesn't start.
