Getting a good shot at goal is something that doesn't happen very often - rarely do we see goal keepers having to make good saves. Is this because defenders in general have become more skilfull and upped their game in recent years and made it harder for the forwards?
In the case of the Premiership the stats show that defenders are blocking more shots so the keepers don't have as much to do. I suspect that this is happening throughout the leagues.
I also think theres a big reluctance to shoot amongst our players. How many times in a game did Redders or Banks have a pop??? I can't remember them being booed for missing, their shooting was appreciated because you knew eventually one would fly in. If Davey wants to imspire his players to shoot more often, he could do worse than dig out some tapes of these two guys, watch their technique and listen to the crowds reaction. We always respond well to a tryer.
Watching tapes of those two fine players isn't going give anyone the ability to strike the ball as hard as they could. How many shots did those two take in a game ? Not as many as you think but maybe more than at present.
No... Tactics will dictate.
Man Utd will have more shots on target than Arsenal for example due to Arsenal wanting to walk it in.
We are just ****.

I wasn't refferring to how hard they could kick it, it was really aimed at their willingness to shoot from anywhere at any time.
