Seems to me that everyone agrees that the defenders play well i.e give 100% but we still leak goals What about a extra defensive midfielder which provides extra cover, as much as i like howard sometimes defnsively he has let us down, marking at corners, tracking back, caught in poccession. Away from home adding that extra cover in front of the back 4 could work?? The defenders are not just to blame, you defend as a TEAM!!!!!!
RE: thought that was togwells job? is but you have 5 attacking players and 5 defensive players as soon as they went 3 upfront last night we got swamped, not saying every game but away from home could work? Arsenal had petit and viera they offered extra protection to the defence?!?!?

Go on then a defensive midfielder, Paul Thirwell. You wont find him on Soccerbase but has just gone out on loan from i think Derby County,why i dont work scouting for Barnsley i will never know.
