Anybody know what the position is?
Front of the Chron doesn't look promising.
Could we find when next visit our Dentist we have to pay private rates or shop around for another?
Can the BBS resident dentist help us out on this one?

I got a letter from my dentist when I went for an appointment on Tuesday to say they'd opted out of the NHS pricing system... to make it more fair to 'regular' patients. I only have to go for a check up once a year so I'm not exactly a regular!
if you read the arcticle fully it says you will no longer be registered with a dentist from april and in theory you will be able to make an appointment at any dentist you want proniding they have opted in with the nhs contract,it will be a disaster!
Uninvasive treatment like check ups x rays etc.£15,fillings one or a gob full minimum £65 and crowns one or a mouth full £180.
Just seen this thread. Not seen the Chron so no comment on what it says there. As far as the new contract goes and what it will mean for dentists and patients, I'll field this tomorrow. The pub beckons now
Andrew in the chronk is my dentist and i wont be very happy if i lose him which it sounds as though thats what will happen as hes going private, hes gorgeous although the photo isnt very good, only thing is hes a Leeds fan.:-|
