What a feckin awful result, not felt this bad after a game for a long time.
Depsite major turnover in playing personel we seem to be making little progress in the last two years. I fear that if we flaunt with relegation again, this may be the time we just don't quite make it. We can't pull the great escape off every season.
I must admit to having some sympathy with Davey regarding the injury situation. His major signing ( & large wedge of the transfer budget) out for the forseeable future. Almost constant midfield problems this year, Devaney, Anderson, Colace, Leon all out for spells, it seems we have hardly had the same midfield for back to back games at all. Moore, Kozluk and now Foster out for longish periods leads to more turmoil. There is no doubt that this is not helping our plight at all
Sympathy runs out though when I see how thin our squad is and how poor some of the squad players are. Oddjob, Rigters, VH, El Whatsit, just not good enough and leave us seriously weakended when they play. The lack of opportunity for some of our homegrown younger players is very disappointing too.
It's alright saying that there is plenty of time left in the transfer window - and I have been saying that too, BUT as other teams move on and refresh with new players, we (with our wafer thin squad anyway) become weaker and lose ground on the rest. By the time the signings come (and more importantly settle into the team) we may be up to our necks in it.
So would I sack Davey? No not just yet and I don't think Cryne will either. Our form has been very up and down this season and I wouldnt put it past us to the next couple of games and look more comfortable in the table. But.. much work remians to be done before we can either begin to consider ourselves to be even a solid mid-table team.

    Right, more wine....
