So the administrators 5pm deadline for Chris Kirchner to provide proof of funds has now passed.(and his exclusivity on being the sole bidder) What is the betting that another line in the sand is drawn. I have read that Mike Ashley is a possible interested party however Quntuma will not do business with him as he is refusing to pay the administrators fees that is running into millions.
It’s never nice to see clubs go bust but for them I’d make an exception cos it’s getting beyond a joke now how many times they get seemingly let off to fight another day. Macclesfield and Bury weren’t given as many chances so why should Derby.
Surely time must be running out, no brass left to pay any bills. Rumour has it that Rooney paid the staff wages for May
The administrators would stand to make more money if they went into liquidation against Mike Ashley buying the club.
Deadline missed, pretty scathing summary from John Percy of the telegraph Fixtures out in 2 weeks, no money left in the kitty, only 5 contracted players There is no way they can be in a position within 2 weeks to say they can start and finish next season https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...inst-time-find-buyer-chris-kirchner-takeover/
Surely the administrators are going to face serious scrutiny over this. Apparently the EFL are furious. How has Kirchner managed to come back in at the last minute (after he tried to takeover Preston) and become preferred bidder? It appeared he "showed proof of funds", but when it has come to transferring the money, hasn't ******* bothered. He's ****** everyone around with the looks of it and will now just walk away!
Strange how apparently every other person involved in trying to buy the club managed to agree a deal with Morris for the ground but he kept citing it as a stumbling block.
Mike Ashley arrived at Moore farm , Derby’s training centre earlier today by helicopter So that should help them
He’s already stated that he is ready to go and has 28 million available to buy them , however I believe they are looking for 50 million Mel Morris is asking for 22 million for the stadium
