I appreciate what you are saying, but to be fair, I don't think AR is the sort of bloke to 'pull the wool' over the fans eyes.
Personally I think there was little activity in transfers for a couple of weeks, up until this week when he made the comment after the Coventry match.

Im confident that we will have someone in come Saturday and possible another 1 or 2 the week after.

firstly do you think the club are trying to sign anyone yes or no?

secondly the club are very good at keep things out of the public light such as transfer targets. before it was on the web or in the media who knew we were after mcloud, constantine, foster and johnson?? it was only until the club told us that anyone knew, becasue they keep things in house we the fans specualte more which leads to frstration and accusations flying around. When i read things are not right behind the scenes how the hell do we know???

from your post you seem to think that we are not trying to sign anyone why on earth would we want to do that???? What would the reaction be if AR never mentioned trying to sign players???

Maybe we get knocked back becasue AR doesn't want to sign any old tripe just to keep idiots like you happy who seem obsessed with slating the club as much as possible instead of getting behind the team!!!!

Everyone has an opinion and are entitled to one but i do sometimes wonder why you support this club because you never have any thing good to say about the club!!!

i'd love to see signings

maybe i'm just more patient than you and yes i am worried about our strength in depth of our squad but at the sme time i trust AR and GS and cannot believe the stick they sometimes have take from fickle fans who seem to know best!!

like i said i think we need some signings but i just do not shout it from the rooftops every day slating people at the club along the way and at then have the cheek to say i told you so if it goes tits up as if you do know best!!!

If things are going well, they're back again, joining in the back-slapping safe in the knowledge that everyone else is too busy celebrating to start picking them up on their misguided doom-mongering. No - three points tonight. It's the first game of the rest of our season.

It's true - things have been frustrating recently - especially with the late goals going in against us, but we've got to keep our heads up. I don't like to hear Ritchie having to come out and explain himself after we lose 1-0 or 2-0 having played well most of the game. </p>

We know where the weaknesses are - I'm sure that he does as well. Unfortunately, there's no magic wand to make it right. He does the best he can to put a positive spin on things, but he's honest. At least after the Sunderland match he came onto Radio Dee Dah and clearly blamed the players for not putting it in for the last forty-five. </p>

I'm sure he does want to sign players - but what good is it signing poor players? And who wants to put their best players out on loan? It's catch 22. I'm not surprised that we're getting knocked back - if some needy team came in making enquiries about McIndoe or Kaye because they needed a winger or a centre half, you'd tell them to sod off. Until the transfer window opens and we can start making proper bids life will be hard and we'll be scrapping for points.</p>

Tonight we need to get positive, get behind the team (whether we're at the match, or listening on the Radio or whatever) and hope for the best. We can't burden ourselves with the last string of results - there's nothing we can do about those games. If we get positive, pick up three points tonight, and dare I suggest it, three points off Leeds, life will be so much better for all of us.</p>
