Derby may have recieved a bid for Macken and want to have a closer look at him before the window opens. I assume they would have done the same with Nyatanga but they are unable to recall him until after 31st Dec. You never know we may have agreed a fee and he may re-sign on first of Jan? but before deal is finalised Paul Jewell wants to have final assessment of him. Looking Derbys squad Macken would be 4th / 5th Choice behind the likes of Steve Howard, Rob Earnshaw, Kenny Miller and Craig Fagan. I would also assume they Jewell will want to bring in his own men in the January transfer window. As for Nyatanga, he is young hot prospect as we well know. Derby would be foolish to let him go now but extended loan allowing regular first team football can only be good for his development. Other central defenders at the club Jason McEverley, Darren Leacock, Andy Todd, Claude Davis, Darren Moore, Tyrone Mears and Michael Johnson. Also younsters Hanson, Mitchell and Beardsley. Its gonna be an interesting January, who know what SD has up his sleeve???? a few more hungarians, possibly belgian, american, mexican or angolan to join the ranks?
