    ...albeit mostly justified, BBC website seems to show Barnsley having the bulk of possession, more shots, more shots on target and generally holding their own (notwithstanding the all important goal against) against a side that ".....are unbeaten in their last nine Championship matches. They share the record for the current longest unbeaten run in the Championship with Derby County."

    It is a confidence thing as much as anything (apparently as I type this Mellis has missed a sitter) How many good players (nlot that we have many in that category) lose confidence and look like they have never put on a pair of boots in their life. All I am saying is this squad is underperforming and should be capable of finishing midtable although you can understand why people think they are absolute garbage based on current form.

    I used to agree that we were better than our position dictated but recently i have seen the light and now believe that you don't dodge relegation like we have the last two years with much the same players and can say we have a good squad.

    Possession stats are pretty meaningless at this level; what really counts is what you do at the business ends, preventing goals and scoring them. Barnsley are clearly pretty poor in both departments...
