Despite the doom and gloom...

    I'll be raring to get up early on Saturday and on that 09:12 train. With results, I've increasingly treated matchdays in the last couple of years as a few hours out with my BFC mates, sometimes with a happy outcome for the 3-5pm bit inbetween.

    I look forward to a pint or two with the lads round a place I've not visited since the 1996 promotion season, endure/enjoy [delete as appropriate] the football - sing my heart out either way - and then wave mates bye before meeting up for beers again for Boro, then Wolves.

    Whatever happens this season, I'll have had a good 30+ days out with the lads. Whether we are Premier League, Championship of League 1 in 1913/14, we'll do the same again.
