    thats because we didn't have any good tactics under Davey

    he'd have given Thompson a pay rise and stuck him in midfield

    sorry, it was not needed remark retracted.But the lad has had less than a week and just 1 competetive game. It shows just how much damage Davey really has done.

    There has been a groundswell of opinion on here that it was SD's reluctance to play 4-4-2 that ultimately cost him his job. That should be relatively easy for Mr Robins to fix - so my response was slightly tongue-in-cheek. To be fair though, he has also stated that there is a complete lack of confidence within the team. Assuming that the players ARE good enough, he still has a job on his hands to get them playing to their full ability. It seems clear that he isn't going to get much of a honeymoon period...

    well I have the opinion that if Mr Robins is given as much time as Davey

    then we will see a far better end product than what Simple Simon served up
