Devaney was vitually anonymous whereas Ricketts had a few mazy runs but always stopped to get the ball onto his right foot by which time he had lost any advantage he may have had. Why the hell arent they swapping sides during the game and asking questions of the opposition?
I was a bit worried about Devaneys lack of "joining in" in the freindlies but hoped he would be a different player when things got serious but there was no improvement from him today.
Agree. Devaneywas hugely disappointing today, but it will all come good. You'll see. Be positive. Lots of positives in the first half.
Correct Tina First half we did ok apart from allowing some free headers it was pretty even. Problem was we didnt learn from our first half mistakes and were punished.
Agree tina,happy enough at half time but concerned a little that heads dropped after the second goal.I thought Reid had a good first half as did Johnson I didn't think "scapegoat" Colgan was at fault for any of the goals.Lets hope the penny drops that they have to consentrate for the full 90 minutes as its a very unforgiving league.

Devaney has pinched money since he came Show pony , flatters to deicieve , had maybe 5 good games since arrived . As one of the few reds today with championship experiance he should have done a lot more looked heavy legged after 30 minutes , Iknow it was hot but they trained in Portugal a couple of weeks ago . As for an overall picture of the game I think Coventry were a decent side who will finish a lot nearer the top of the table than the bottom . Us , I think its gonna be hard but lets give the team time , and SD a chance to get It right , we will play sides a lot weaker than them , Kyle will be a handful for any one if refs let him get away with what this ref did . I think against against so called bigger clubs he wont
I said at half time that I thought we were ok and matched them. I did feel that whoever scored the next goal would win. I said that we had to score, but unfortunately, it was them. Difficult to see why we collapsed in such a spectacular fashion when we did so well the first half. Their second goal effectively killed us off. Heads dropped and from then on we were second to every ball and the spirit had gone. Disappointing in all aspects and Davey has to get that spirit back. A t 2-1 I still thought we would get one back and it would end 2 all, but for some reason, the team stopped playing and Odejayi apart, Davey's substitutions were largely ineffective. It's disappointing, but a win against Darlo and a draw at Colchester and a win against Plymouth, will see us back up there. It's a marathon not a sprint. We'll be reight.
Oh yes they were...... Out muscled us, out played us, fought dirty, pushed us off the ball, were super quick, tore shreds out of us, left us for dead - all this in the second half!
