Anyone who goes to training, can they confirm that Devaney has not been seen? Rumour has it he has gone AWOL!
Saw him leaving Oakwell minutes after the final whistle in his X5. Did not hang around to celebrate the win with his "teammates"
RE: He's off to Cardiff Would be disappointed if he is, would rather have him than JCR. Would assume that we'll at least get some sort of cash for him.
Off to Cardiff? This has been rumoured and, if we have the right club, there would be a transfer fee, rumoured to be about £250k, which would be what it would cost us to recruit Jamal Campbell-Rice from Southend United. If the rumours are right, it sounds like a done deal, both with Cardiff and with Southend. Might explain his absence from the team and the bench, as Cardiff may not want to risk him, if a pre-contract agreement has already been signed. Just guessing, really, but it seems a reasonably good guess.
RE: Off to Cardiff? JCR was left out of Southend's game at weekend too. http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1812_2689068,00.html
RE: Off to Cardiff? looking to sign two more players before Friday deadline day. Simon said on radio de dah that they have already been in negotiations with a player ,but if it does not come off the present squad will be OK
He was down with the squad at Colchester last week. Don't know if he had a fitness test and didnt pass or something as I only got in the ground about 2.45 but he was definately on the pitch as i got into the ground in a tracksuit and flip flops. I reckon he's injured and waint be going anywhere.
I chatted to him briefly just before kickoff on Saturday, as he walked through the car park... he said there's nothing wrong with him at the moment but added that he's "been bombed". I assume that means he's just not being selected (and maybe being forced out?) He's an exciting player to watch imho, he's had some good performances when given a run in the team, and he seems to track back a lot more than he used to... hopefully he'll get another chance darn at 'Well.
Well who knows then. One thing I can say is I hope he stays at Barnsley. He was one of the main reasons we got promoted two years back, and last year he was one of our best performers. He is mix and match at times, but when he's on form, it takes some full back to stop him. Just go back to Southamptn at home last year, he enialted Gareth Bale that much the lad was taken of at half time, now he's just gone to spurs for £10m.
RE: Radio Dee Da No, Radio Dee Da sneakily got a audio dub from the look north interview. Can't imagine shep being too pleased.
