Devaney, Colgan, Richards just to name a few

are easy targets for fans on this site. There are certain players at the club who as soon as something does not go right the fans jump on there back!

Heckingbottom is another, especially against Norwich even though Howard failed to help out for the first goal and the 3rd yet he seems to be absolved from any blame.

Devaney works his socks off each game, working back doing his defensive duties, granted at the minute his going forward form is poor but people as sooooo quick to get on his back, what good does it actually do? And when he does do something good very little applause comes his way, runs against norwich and sunderland much brighter than anythign else we had produced down the left!

A guy who sits behind me even shouts abuse at him during the warm up, christ nothing like giving the players your backing!

The two hungarians both missed good chances on Saturday, if these were Richards, Hayes or Nards all hell would have broken loose!

The way people talk on here/radio anyone would think they want to be *****/play poor or make mistakes!!!

 

Some thick people about though, quite a lot go to Barnsley matches!

 

fully agree wath red!! never known a club with as much negitivity surrounding it by its own fans. it really gets to me. you could even put mccan on to that list, hes scapegoated all the time and i think hes done quite well personally. people winge about colgan not coming off his line, can these people remember when a 1st came and they were winging at him for comeing off his line against MK dons and luton at home when paul hart was in charge? poor man carnt win he comes off his line people av a go he stays on his line and people have a go. give the man a break christ sake.

 

Agree with the most of what has been said but cant agree about Colgan. He is way out of form and resting him to give Lucas a chance should be considered, otherwise there is no point in Lucas being at the club. I would never boo or abuse any players (inc Colgan) but if players are blatantly out of form then the management should be giving others a chance.

 

Completely agree with you! Devaney has had a few decent games, and the moment he puts a foot wrong certain people are on his back. He can't win poor lad! There'san idiot who sits near me who moans and swears about richards, EVEN if he's warming up and on the bench! He moaned about McCann against Norwich, even when he was MOTM, then moaned when he went off n rico came on!! Get off their backs will u and start showing some support!

Try listening football heaven 606 talksport take a look at a few other clubs message boards,were all the same,as for Disco if he could consistently deliver quality balls i.e for the goals against Hull and Norwich folk would lay off its called frustration we all know what he can do.

I was talking to the guy next to me at the Norwich game and I mentioned that Rajczi hadn't done very much. His reply was that if it had been Richards, he would have been booed off the pitch. Also a bloke in front of me was having a go at Devaney during the warm-up as well.

Fair enough his commitment & tracking backs improved BUT he vital part of his game as gone way downhill. No point of having a right side at the moment. Not good enough for this league

What a load of ballocks. If we clapped till our kand were sore for Rico, he'd still always be a third rate honest toiler. No more no less. Same for Devaney, McCann, Togwell, Hassell, Colgan etc etc

i disagree i think he is good enough

but needs more consistency in his crossing, wendy at home he was easily the best palyer, all my wnedy mates were raving about him!

Howard is not a left winger and in all fairness the left hand side is pretty much redundant at the minute so all the attacking threat comes down our right and if teams are clued up (double mark) then they have an easy job!

Even thought everyone can have there opinions I just think he takes so much stick i cannot see what good it actually does him, after the games fair enough but during the games especially early doors just baffles me!

 

I'm not saying to back them no matter what but

what benefit does it do getting on the players backs from the first minute or as soon as they make a mistake??

Fair enough if they are having a stinker all the way through the game but with devaney especially it seems all his work rate and anything good he does goes missing by some sections of fans!

As for Rico if he missed the 2 chances Peter and Steve had on saturday all hell would have broken loose, why? because if fans look for faults in players then they will find them no matter what they do in a game!

My brother used to slated Howard left right and center because he wasn't good defensively ffs he is an attacking midfielder yet he was comparing him to a hargreaves type player!

Same with rico, he misses a chance fans easily jump on his back, devaney beats a man but poor cross fans on his back and best of all when he does put a good one in the most praise he gets is, bout fooking time, real confidence booster that for him isn't it!

I'll tell you one thing if the fans that moan so much at players but half as much energy in backing the team we'd have the best atmosphere in the championshp!

 

Richards, Devaney, Hassell, Colgan, Howard, Nardiello

all signed for no fee. We have one of the lowest 2 player budgets in this division sowho the hell do you think we are going to sign?

 

and really if you look at it

he has done nothing so far that nardiello and richards and hayes havent been doing. Istavan is different as he is actually putting the ball in the net. Now im not slating the guy as it might take time to settle but why is he given that time by the fans and mattis isnt for example. now i may come on here and have a go saying i dont like certain players but booing them at the game i have only done once. And after a couple of years of Mike Sheron i had enough.

Well I'm not not as thick as some!

Anyhow I know it doesnt relate to me as I do not start spouting radically different opinions on players when they are simply having a poor run of form! I am clever enough to recognise when thats what it is!
