Now I rate him, and think he has been brilliant for us, but how on earth did he complete 90mins yesterday? He was awful tbf/ Hemmings should have come on for him IMO
I think it shows Danny doesn't have any faith in either Lita or Hemmings in that he would rather keep two players on the pitch who had run themselves into the ground.
I wouldn't say that is the case. Although I do think we'd have benefitted from Hemmings coming on yesterday for the final 15 in place of Cole. I didn't think Cole had a bad game, he's just starting to look a bit tired.
He wasn't awful, but he definitely should have scored two very easy chances. Managed to pick out the only part of the goal with a defender on the line with a header, then airshotted 6 yards out. That said, he's getting into the right positions and has shown he can score goals. I'd start him at Brammall Lane, but wouldn't be surprised to see him brought on to attack tired legs late in the game.
Absolutely colossal talent. He should play every second of every minute while we've got him. We'll be poorer when he leaves.
Agree with that, and he probably will. After all, if we play him there might be a chance that City will be so impressed with his development that they decide to leave him in Danny's capable hands until the end of the season. Then again, just like happened with Drinkwater, some Championship big fish might nip in and pay the asking price for him in January. Good as he is, he's the wrong nationality for City, surely? Just finished watching the replay on Player and I agree with all that has been said - he missed some chances. All strikers have that problem though, but it's good that he is getting there to miss them. Oh, but that header!! A simple nod down (or up) at the post where he was and it was a goal all day long. Why he opted to go across the keeper goodness only knows. Great defensive header, certainly, but a simple finish was required there. I'm enjoying watching him develop though and there is plenty more excitement to come this side of Christmas. I suppose it will be a sign of City's intentions if they let him play in our FA Cup match, or matches even. We'll see.
He's being man marked most of the time and is taking at least 2 defenders out the equation at times. He may not be taking all his chances, but is certainly making chances available for others.
Exactly. If he carries on improving he will represent his country at full level and win the premiership as a first team regular up front with Aguero.
Saw the replay on Football League Show and it was definately going wide. At the time it looked like Aden Flint made a good stop, but seeing it again he didn't have to touch it.
