So Bradford are getting rid of a quick skillful striker and bringing in another big physical striker to partner Hanson? Sounds about right to be honest.
that might be the quickest strikeforce ever in the leagues never mind at fleetwood. Its a shame both of them have the right boot on the left foot and vice versa it seems!
Can't be pretty watching Bradford on their potato patch pitch. Devante back on a permanent 2 and a half year deal would have got the thumbs up from me. Perfect strike partner for Winnall and would make us even more attacking alongside the likes of Watkins, Hourihane, Hammill etc.
Devante was and still will be frightening coming off the bench. I'd sign him up to use as a super sub. I always thought a big target man would be the perfect partner for SSW but I guess Marley is proving me wrong
The lads at work who watch City reckon he's ****. Like I used to think, they reckon he's capable of so much more but lacks the appetite. Doesn't jump for headers, won't bust a gut for the cause and apparently 'not that quick'. They told me a few week ago that he'd not turned in for training and was fined, so that doesn't help. I thought he looked a real talent on occasion for us. Rochdale away stood out. He was unplayable that day but couldn't finish for toffee. Seems bizarre that he signed a three year deal there and now he's at Fleetwood. He stunk MK Dons out too apparently. Last time I saw him was in the JPT against us. They practically handed us the win by putting him on. He wanted no part of Marc Roberts and didn't even try to get a kick, never mind get a kick. I preferred Ivan Toney. Similar traits but with added endeavour, graft and a willingness to jump.
Decent when he first came. Grew more and more anonymous with each game. Got the attributes to be a decent player. Very raw when he had him. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
It's a tough life to stay focussed and I know that Devante has talent, but the reputation which meant he didn't stay long with us looks to have replicated itself at Bradford. What has gone wrong that a player with such potential, who was signed on a good two-and-a-half year contract, should be allowed to leave to a team lower down the division? I am not surprised the Bantams fans are complaining that he never lived up to his reputation.
I like reading posts saying he weren't that great for us or Bradford fans are saying he hasn't been very good for them because for about 2-3 weeks after they signed him all I kept thinking to myself was, "Wish we had of signed him, he was good for us." But actually thinking about it and looking past the pace and the threat he gave us in behind, he actually didn't work that hard out of possession and he did put a few sitters wide and over. I do still like him as a player and would love to have him back but i'm not as bothered now haha.
There was a survey research out recently quantifying the quality of 'sons of international footballers.' Summing up that the reason that they don't succeed like their fathers is because of simple lack of desire because they are already made for life .
Yes, that Kasper Smiechels (sp)***** so is Tom Ince.. They may not enjoy the same levels of success as theirs dads, but they are accomplished professional footballers playing at a good level and seemingly don't lack desire. Perhaps the only reason they may not achieve as much as their dads is that they don't have the same ability and are not surrounded by as many exceptional players.
Bit of a pointless study as it basically mirrors society in general. I mean, who is ever better than their dad at owt?
