Can anyone shed any light on this signing? Was he an Ismael signing? Clearly the gaffer doesn’t rate him, and I’m not surprised going by his performances so far, looks well behind the required quality at this level! Hopefully the lad can prove me wrong, starting tonight.
I always though this was a strange signing. Maybe Conway was shown a highlight reel of Andy Cole instead.
Ismael spoke highly of how he would fit into his style, in the press release when he signed. So assume he was an Ismael approved signing. Am guessing Schopp just doesn't rate him. This is the danger with having to change coaches so frequently.
I thought he was a good signing and I'm staggered he isn't starting alongside Woodrow and Freiser in a 3 man attack if Schopp is persisting with the 3-4-3. Collins Sibbick, Helik, Halme Brittain, Palmer, Gomes, (Styles/ Oduor) Freiser, Woodrow, Cole.
I'm not sure he's fully fit. Pure speculation but maybe his bout of Covid was a bad one? Haven't seen enough of him to rule him in or out at this stage, but his cameo at QPR showed fitness to be an issue.
I'm not writing him off and he could develop yet but Kane Hemmings has a better scoring record than Cole in both England and Scotland. To make an impact with us he has to significantly improve on what he's done previously. We can't afford to buy off the peg Championship strikers though so let's hope there's something there. I hold my hand up to not being hopeful about Morris but was happily proved wrong there as long as we can keep him fit.
Don’t you just love early season, writing players off that have barely featured, sacking coaches that haven’t been able to select several key players, club doomed to relegation. All this after just 6 games with 6 points on the board.
I’m not jesting, stats show 6 points from 6 games. Thus far we’ve been without key players and lost others along the way. Of course their is cause for concern, but some of the stuff I’ve read equates to condemnation and doom and gloom. I will, as always give more time before accepting what our season is likely to become.
I'm not writing anybody off, just taking part in a discussion and quoting verifiable facts. I don't think anything I've said is beyond the bounds of reason or an attack on anyone. Cole's record is what it is. He needs to step things up a couple of notches. I hope he does but won't be shocked if he doesn't.
I got Covid last November and still haven’t fully recovered. For weeks and weeks I was lethargic beyond belief. I feel I’m getting there but my sense of taste and smell are still effected
I’m certainly not accusing you of attacking anyone, just saying their are comments on here that are way too OTT all things considered. Nothing wrong with being concerned particularly after Saturday’s performance and result.
Cheers. I have to say I am a little concerned though I think when the squad is fully fit we have a very decent defence and midfield. In attack we are very reliant on at least one of the new lads being a success. My worry is that before we get a fully fit squad the huge self belief many of the players had last season will have drained away. We have the players to be solid mid table at least but if they collectively lose confidence it could be a problem.
I'm fearful. I haven't been this fearful since we lost to Norwich, Swansea and Watford and drew with Forest away. #this seasons Hull City . I'm also confused as Hull City are doing a good job of being #this seasons Hull City. Could we be Hull City's reserves?
I'm concerned that we're wasting a season getting up to speed and when we do eventually click the season will be over. In this time we'll have probably finished midtable at best (maybe worse) and Styles, Helick etc think they're wasting their time here and leave the club.
Not like any of us haven’t seen him before. He was no good last time we had him. Done nowt since we had him. Yet suddenly going to be great this time
Hull City are doing a terrible job of being this year's Hull City. They need to get towards the play offs by January to do that.
