Scores a hat-trick with some great finishes but not only that. His work rate was crazy, the block on his own area to set up his third then at least two ties he covered at left back for Cadden when he'd gone forward and got dispossesed. Last season he really worked on the goal poacher element of his game, now he is adding positionbal sense and all round thinking. Looks like he has turned into a great team player and goal scorer.
The finish was a bit jammy but he covered a LOT of grass at speed for his 3rd. The delight from his teammates was brilliant to see..
My favorite part was Cadden shepherding the ball across the line for Devante's third. He could have easily panicked and made sure it was in, but he wanted to preserve Devante's hat trick. Great team work.
He looked well onside to me from the east stand upper. I was fully expecting him to smash it in but full credit to him for having the presence of mind and selflessness to watch it in.
Cadden was clearly not offside, it was a 1-on-1 with keeper when Cole shot, Cadden and Cotter were on the edge of the box while Cole was a yard or 2 inside it. Cadden would have known that so much kudos to him for his unselfishness.
You can just see Cole scoring 20+ this season and leaving on a free at the end as he is out of contract. Good luck to him if his goals help to get us promoted.
he'll get more money I'd suspect if he goes on a free,28,had a bit of stick off some, mads remembered stick he got at beginning.good luck to lad what ever he chooses, like you say get the goals to get us up son.
And yet had we offered him an extention before season kicked off, thered be a lot of fans bemoaning giving him one.
Which would have been ridiculous because we should all want our top scorer under a longer contract. Let's hope nobody tests the waters with a bid in this transfer window.
We could have already offered him an extension, but his agent telling him he could get him a better paying gig.
Watch his little run to pull the defender out of position leaving an acre of space for Kitch to run into and score the fifth.
This is just one game of course, but it was amazing to see Cole show such awareness and determination like he did. I've not seen that before from him, and if its down to some extra 1 on 1 coaching, then credit goes to them all.
