Forgiving players Allowing mistakes Culture of development Layering Stephen Dawson. Scott Wiseman. Matt Done. Craig Davies. All had bids in the last 6 months. Keith in.
All good players spotted by Hillcroft and made better. He made mistakes. He didn't get the right results. He deserves credit for leaving us with a squad probably worth double what he spent in transfer fees.
Here here Dyson. Credit where Credit is due. He did promise to work with players and make the better to sell on thus making us more profitable. I just think he got bog down with loosing and found it hard to see the problems clearer.
You forgot to mention that he also left us bottom of the league etc. I wasn't a Hill knocker in fact quite the contrary but I think all the story should be told
I reckon hills scouts are good enough probably. we need to focus on the Academy and keep them players coming through.
absolutely...........hill talked a good show, probably straight from a manual for a coaching badge, but completely failed with the end result.
He always said that if we were to break even, develop players and sell on at a profit it'd take time and a consequence of the strategy might be relegation. He was right. Football league genius.
So effectively he said that selling your best players might mean that you get relegated. Absolute genius. O could have told you that for nowt. When I was 7.
But if all those players are saleable assets at Championship level now then why are we bottom of the league?
