A few people/places are saying that Tedic has been signed on a developmental contract. Does anyone know what this actually means? Can he be used in the 1st team? Is he solely for the U23 squad unless he proves himself and then we use him in the 1st team? If thats the case does he then become one of the named players for the squad as he is over 21?

Can you point us to where it says developmental contract? We might glean more from the actual article?

Listened to duff on radio Sheffield saying he's not ready or fit enough he's played no football had no pre season where our lads have so he needs to play catch up.
Just seems a stupid signing to me getting a player in who's played no football or fit enough, there must really be no players left to sign, scraping barrel like.

I imagine it’s not costing us anything, so probably a no risk move

Duff mentioned developmental. The article announcing the signing didn't. He will be able to play for the first team, just at the moment Duff doesn't see him as that. Maybe he will be on the bench on Tuesday.

Do you believe that is it for or our transfer dealings & with 27 days left of the window we will sign no one else ? I don"t & I think there will be some comings & goings before the end of the window , I also think that the signing of a lad who cost £3 million not so long ago is scraping the barrel, there are 44 more league games to be played & we need a squad to cope , if he comes in and does a job when needed then his signing will have been worthwhile .

Could this in part be the manager giving the player a bit of expectation protection?

Fans want a decent forward signing, this lad may or may not end up playing in the first team but by saying that he is development gives him time to integrate and build his fitness?

Worth waiting before decrying him to be a failure.

It’s Sunday morning. We won yesterday. Calm down and try not to be so aggressive and abusive to someone on the internet.

Sending us De Bruyne would work much better. I reckon they should do that if they're desperate to form links with us.

Unless it's the other way round...
