Alternative answer for number 1 1967 was pre-decimalisation. In 1972 when we went decimal a Shilling coin (previously equal to 12 pennies) became equal to 5p. So an old penny was worth less than a new penny. So a 2005 penny is worth more than a 1967 one - plus 1967 ones are now out of circulation so worth nowt!
