Let's say Constantine signed without Richards going the other way. We find out he's cost £350,000 and is on £10,000 a week -because those were his terms and people seem to be saying we should have pushed the boat out for him, and he's a flop (because let's face it he's 28 and from a division below us). What's more we still have to honour Richards's contract so in essence we are now paying out even more on the wage bill and this fuels our slide towards administration.
Who'd be the first to eat humble pie?
Who'd be the first to sling mud at GS or SD for caving in to a players demands?

RE: If they paid him £10K per week Seriously, what if that was what he was asking?
Would we still be throwing abuse the club's way?

its strange, you put the negative posters in a position of decision making and they all go quiet, far easier to snipe from behind absurdely constructed rumours without any acceptance of no board fault.
what if the club cant afford the player, or, if the club can afford the player this season but that player doesn't keep us up, for instance, he gets injured, then his wages still have to be paid next year (cos he wont sign a 1 year deal)?
But the consensus seems to be that we should go all out to get him signed, hence my over the top initial suggestion of a ridiculous fee and wage. Split the difference then £7,500 pw.
Yor dead right - I can't see where he'd expect more than £2k a week I know that JP is on £1500 a week at Hull.
RE: Are you our Chiarmans advocat then? nt No, I'm yellow, slightly alcoholic and smell faintly of eggs.

I'm the devils advocaat.

He wouldn't cost £350K and he wouldn't want £10K a week so your whole scenario is in cloud, cuckoo land.
Then come out and tell us then and stop resorting to all the B*ll*cks we hear about 'box office' and 'experienced players'. That comes from the club, nowhere else!
