Been mentioned once before how words can mean different things in different parts of the countries. I came across another one the other day................a bairn down here is called a Babba!!

Any others????

Breadcakes Fcking weird in Derbyshire - 'Cobs' apparently.
Don't call anyone '****' round here either unless you fancy a brawl.

RE: Don't start Nobody's heard of them round here. Breadcakes have fruit in them.
One of my grans called them teacakes (Hemingfielder) the other called them breadcakes ( Hoylander ) - so if spitting distance led to 2 diffrent words we're bolloxed

teacakes are those chocolate things with whippy filling made by Tunnock's they were on that Lenny Henry thing the other day
RE: Breadcakes I used to work in Chesterfield and had that argument quite a lot. Baps, I've always known 'em as (breadcakes and breasts)...
Bonny In Dee-dar land it means chubby. Made the mistake of calling a colleague's daughter a bonny lass and he took exception to me calling her a chubby kid.
