    Been mentioned once before how words can mean different things in different parts of the countries. I came across another one the other day................a bairn down here is called a Babba!!</p>

    Nobody's heard of them round here. Breadcakes have fruit in them.</p>

    One of my grans called them teacakes (Hemingfielder) the other called them breadcakes ( Hoylander ) - so if spitting distance led to 2 diffrent words we're bolloxed</p>

    I used to work in Chesterfield and had that argument quite a lot.

    Baps, I've always known 'em as (breadcakes and breasts)...

    In Dee-dar land it means chubby. Made the mistake of calling a colleague's daughter a bonny lass and he took exception to me calling her a chubby kid.
