    should be knocked down and melted down....presuming it's bronze and not dried mud or summat.

    If they don't want gypos nicking it and melting it down they'd better lock it away somewhere, anything brass or bronze is getting nicked and weighed in at the moment, loads of brass plaques going walkabout in York.

    I like the Dickie Bird statue

    And I like where it has been placed. Lovely bit of Barnsley that with the park, the old church, the old tech building and the town hall. And I reckon the statue finishes it off well. Big thumbs up to all concerned from me.
