nobody has doubted his quality but can we afford to be down to ten men every time he plays?

i'm sure many would be aggrieved if the scoreline had been the reverse and there man hadn't been sent off for a challenge like dickinsons in the first half

maybe thats the case but i'm talking coaches and managers opinions and views. can't help but feeling pulis won't trust him as he can't afford to risk a sending off. sure it was dickinson who was sent off whilst marking ronaldo when they were drawing 0-0, they went on to lose the game 1-0...

Yeah it was, last season. Absolutely cleaned him out on the touch line, remember it on MOTD. Couldn't stop laughing. :D

You're right, we can't afford to be down to ten men every game.

And he's not been sent off yet, he's got one booking out of two games.

Obviously we played well as a team tonight, but we looked a lot better with two tall full-backs as opposed to the two liabilities who didn't play. Darren Moore and Steve Foster both benefited from not having Hassell or Kozluk in the side. The both played well and didn't have to bail the pair out for most of the game.

There's quite a few refs would've sent him off for that tackle tonight. I was worried

is that bobby hassell our current fans player of the year and our longest serving player! a liability? very harsh is that he's always given 100% for us and doesn't make half as many errors as kozluk, might not be best full back in the world but he's been as good/bad as anyone else this season, was excellent at derby

Yes our current player of the year.

Once won by the great Nick Colgan.

He's a decent player, and like you say a good servant to the club, but he often lunges in/mistimes a tackle and gets away with any criticism. Just my opinion, but I know which two I'd prefer.

Yeah I remember him getting sent off against Man U, great tackle on Ronaldo!!!!
Saying that, heard great reviews about him from Leeds fans and a couple of Stoke fans. No doubt the early booking impacted his game today.

ok so on the basis of one game these two new lads from stoke are absolutely amazing! I thought they were good tonight particularly shotton but I think it would be a big mistake to let hassell go, he's a very decent player to have in squad

oh ok, well someone did :) anyway i'd be happy to have hassell as a back up squad utility player, don't think we should be looking to offload him there are definately others to go first, el haimour, kozluk, coulson etc

He'll do for me. No-one's going to get by him easily and that's a welcome change.
