What a complete rip off. If you weren't in the 20,000 who got a wristband to get in the front pit it wasn't worth going as you couldn't see owt and were miles away from the stage. Not knocking the band as I think they put on a good show but the organisation was ****.
I would prefer to vote BNP...twice While sitting and watching both Simon Davey and KO sign 5 year contract extensions.
I went along Saturday. Was pretty far back but was still a right good event i thought. Enjoyed Kasabian as well. Only problem was the amount of fighting around us! kicking off all around!
Went on Saturday. Band superb. Was stood quite far back, near the pie and mash. My only gripe was that the screens at the side of the stage were at ground level, rather than elevated, so you could see **** all.
Fighting, what do you expect at a Chav concert?try something a little more classy like Natalie Merchant.
Got wristband. Gates opened at 2pm and they were still giving them away at 5pm. If you caouldn't be arsed to get in earliesh what else could be expected than being near the back? Supposed to be 70k there. As soon as I found that out on Friday I made sure I got in early. Was ok. Enjoyed Kasabian. Bit too old to enjoy The Enemy but the kids enjoyed them. Oasis were cosistent as ever.
Went Sat. The rain held off all day which was a bonus. Lot of nobheads there as usual when its an all dayer. Personally I prefer arena and stadium gigs as the sound doesn't seem to'carry' as much as theirs no wind but in a park it seems to be up and down. The event was massive. Everything about it was huge so organisation must have been hard. They seemed to do a decent job but getting home was a nightmare. All our group got split up. I got a taxi back alone for £15, few of lads managed one of the free buses, two of the girls walked the 6 miles back into Manchester!! Overall I thought Kasabian were great and as usual Oasis were great too. Kind of wished I had plumped for one of the Wembley stadium gigs though just for the spectacle. Off to see Kasabian in a few week at Sheff Academy which 'm sure will be awesome. PAOLO
Seen a fight at every outdoor Oasis gig i've been to, can't wait for Geordies and Mackems to do battle Wednesday, glad we are sat in gods lol
