Telling him what runs to make, showing him with his arms and pointing where to be, starting to look like a proper captain in recent weeks
the boy is becoming a very very good player, I fear we will lose him for a song I do not believe we can really hope to hold him for too long, I would be grateful to keep him this seson and perhaps make a few quid. He is obvious quality and he has the right to go on to better. OK OK I already am awaiting the ones to hit me with my reactions towards the departures of Hammill and Shackell. But to be honest I really believe they are/were nowhere near the quality standard of Jacob Butterfield. We have another in the wings too RNL ... I am now thinking that a certain Mr Hill can do him loadsa good as he has seemingly done with Jacob. If I am honest I think I would be more concerned at getting Mr Hill into a long term deal than some players. MR Hill seems to have the Dario Gradi touch. I know at one point I lost my head and did jump at getting rid of Mr Hill..but OH MY GOD I think I did the old Dragon and kneejerked. I am trying these days to be more of a Puff The Magic Dragon... I still have the odd flame out though. But have to say the arrival of my Grandson this year on sept 2nd has totally blown my flame out...well almost.
Re: the boy is becoming a very very good player, I fear we will lose him for a song If all that is an apologetic acceptance that it is the manager that is our greatest asset then that is fine. There is no point nailing him down to a longer contract. Why should he wish to be so bound anyway after the way that some of our supporters have responded to him? Just remember that this is where he further cut his teeth, and hope it takes sooner rather than later for a (failed or failing) Lancashire premier league club to see him as their solution. And think upon how (just) two early season performances, against teams that have subsequently proved their class, were sufficient for the impatient and quite frankly idiotic among us to demonstrate their adherance to the want-it-all-now-culture. Can someone tell me why they want Hill out now? If not, shut up till the end of the season at least.
Re: the boy is becoming a very very good player, I fear we will lose him for a song My thoughts exactly Toby or not Toby.. said as much in my own thread. I hate the fickle nature of certain fans.. win a few, we are great, lose a few, we are pap.. its pathetic tbh. And when those cried for him to go - 3 games in - and booed their fickle heads off, they gave Keith n Flicker an impression of Barnsley fans that isnt true. But they are clever enough blokes to realise that as they say, "they arent a true reflection of proper Barnsley supporters"
your arrogance has advanced to an almost cancerous stage cannot take that response in any shape or form as an intelligent response.. my head is still shaking now. my one hand is making a gesture as to what you are most probably are.
Re: the boy is becoming a very very good player, I fear we will lose him for a song I'm the bestest fan in the world . . .ner ner.
