For those of you who may have noticed, the Tesco carrier bag went 1-0 up at half time; drifting in from the left before nestling in the North Stand goal on 41 minutes. We had been waiting patiently for the deadlock to be broken.

As soon as half-time came, off he drifted, toward aisle 24 of the Stairfoot branch - to be on hand to assist an elderly shopper who found themselves bereft of just one more bag. What a performance!

Many may have assumed that a Jack Fulton's carrier had finally made it's Oakwell debut, but to those aficionados amongst you, you would easily have recognised a standard fare - Barnsley Market - "better double bag it" regular, mark the second half with an easy effort into the Ponty End Goal. 2- 0.

The rest of the afternoon just seemed scrappy. Random serviettes, "Viscount" wrappers and even a piece of tin foil tried to make their mark, but that's how it ended.

Oh, and Barnsley were beaten 1-0 at home today by Blackpool. WTF?

I think the Tesco bag was being chased out of town by the Gregs carrier.

The Tesco bag did a nice one two with a packet of Walkers crisps early in the match.

pmsl we where watching it all game the blown up condom was the best finish by far, however the greggs bag did show potential coming infield from the left hand side. Alot of movement in and around the penalty area for the other various wrappers to pick from.

Yes I was watching the plastic bag through the match - never seen as much rubbish ..........

..............on a football field before..............in more ways than one

............so just kept stareing at the plastic bag, it were doing a whirl wind sort of thing during the first half so it just shows how bad the weather was on the field

At some point the gap between the Ponti and West Stand has to be built on to stop winds interfering with play
Because this whirl wind effect has happened a few times this season

Got fed up of watching the plastic bag so i went to the pub.........15 minutes before the end of the game

We were wondering what was Davey playing at?

In the first half we had all the litter back in the area when we were defending a corner - leave some litter up front ffs!
