The grass looked long on the Blackpool pitch yesterday? An effort to slow down our passing play and help with the long ball tactics they use?

I'm not making excuses we should have adapted and won the game. The pitch didn't seem to have much zip to it like we have been used to and the long balls were holding up causing Nyatanga and Townsend a couple of iffy (to say the least) moments.

Only positive I took from yesterday was Marley Watkins performance he had a decent game as he has for most of the season.

Was a change to see grass and not sand on pitch . Watkins had a good game , but apart from our goal we never get many in the box

The RS commentator, with Derrick Parker, commented on it before the match. Good job Perkins wasn't still playing for either side - he might have got lost in it :D

Glad it wasn't just me that noticed then... Fair enough I suppose if it works for them!
