Barnsley found their answer five minutes later after a period of barn-storming pressure left Hoult flat on his back as he was toppled over by diminutive on-loan striker Leon Knight. I know I might have rose tinted specs and all, but I saw it very slightly differently.
I was in a room full of Baggies fans One of whom cried blue murder that their goalie had been fouled until he saw the replay. Fair play to him he had the guts to admit he was wrong. Goalie ran arms outstretched into Knight who was looking the other way. You couldn't even call it obstruction.
And a possible sending off - booking at least... I didn't get up while late and wound up watching the game on Sky at mi Dad's - the replay clearly shows a push in the back. Either that or Hoult didn't see Knight what with him being under the line of vision of all barring Frodo Baggins!!!
That's football there will always be little bits of appeals and apparent fouls talked about in the pub afterwards, but they usually tend to even out over the course of a match. IMHO Knight didn't foul the keeper and our appeal wasn't that bad either, but I sit at back of Ponty so I might no have had as good a view.
Looked more of a deliberate push at the game from our angle than on telly And we were saying possible penalty and sending off
