Leeds United have opted against offering a contract to trialist left back Giorgos Koltzos.

Caretaker boss John Carver had a look at the experienced stopper in Wednesday's reserve clash against Barnsley.

However, with the side shipping in a massive six goals along with Leeds landing Alan Wright on loan from Sheffield United, Carver has opted to release Koltzos.

"I've said all along that we will only take players who are better than we have here or can improve the squad," Carver told the club's official website.

"Giorgos is a great lad and he's worked hard while he's been here - I can't fault him - but we're letting him go."
