Poor. Generally treated it as a practice match. Steele - Not inspiring Van Homoet - needed to get his head from up his @rse. Played as if he thought he was too good for the game and didn't like being roughed up by the Udders kids. Dennis - Just Dennis really. Nowt special Disco - Worked hard but everyone else just got in his way. Noreal room to work in. Ritgers - Some decent touches but again nowt special Butterfield - Just like watching Brian Howard! (read into that what you will) Oddjob - The lad's broken. Tried hard but lost heart as the game wore on. Body language wasn't good. Ended up feeling sorry for him. One plus point - Noble-Lazarus showed willing when he came on. Pacey and capable of finding space. One for the future, definitel None of the First Team need worry on the strenth of what I saw last night. Attendance 400+ with about a dozen away fans!
I didn't go to the game myself but one of the lads from work went and he pretty much agrees with your observations on the 1st team players. He was disappointed with the lack of effort put in by some of them. It was treated like a practise game by some. He felt that none of the scholars let themselves down particularly as two of them were played out of position.
"Butterfield - Just like watching Brian Howard! (read into that what you will)" Yeah he's even got the same scary "dummy" hand! S)
