And he used to have hair! http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?i...mages?q=marc+richards&svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&sa=N
not until they mentioned it on bbc the other day, he was only 18 too. nardiello played for them on loan too.
During the season we flirted with relegation to the conference Richards came in on loan and scored a few goals the most important was our second goal away at Rochdale which we won 2 - 1 and meant we needed to win our last home game against Hull which we did and for that he was a vital player in one of our most amazing teams who were nine points adrift at one point in the season and he came in with roberto martinez and a few others to save us, for that many swansea fans reguard him as a bit of a legend not the most gifted but never the less a legend for that goal especially considering it preserved our league status and in no small part was the catalyst for our revival that we are still on. I think we tried to secure his services but he wanted to stay up north. I'm sure he'll be given a great reception from the Swansea faithful, however I doubt the same honour will be dished out to mr Nardiello.
Fallon will also get an (undeserved) load of abuse. For some reason most Barnsley fans have taken a dislike to him but he always gave 110% in every game I saw him play. Came through the acadamy ranks, played for England U-19's and was just coming good when we sold him to Swindon. Offers something a bit different and is always a handful to any centre-back. Didn't ask to leave but was sold off to appease the administrators so why they've turned on him god knows. Tom Williams and Steven Watt will also get some abuse if selected whilst Kevin Austin and Gary Monk should both escape.
I'd agree Fallon, not the most gifted centre forward but does a hell of a lot of work for the other forward he plays along side I've noticed since he arrived he does his own running and Trundles or knights who both aren't the hardest working when not in possession. As for ex players I rate Monk I think he's quality and will play, Austin I think we'll all agree is out of his depth at this level but since our first choice two centre backs have been out injured since christmas he has played recently and did well against the bruisers of brentford but was found out against the pace and guile of freddy eastwood. As for Watt injured so wont play and tom williams will most definatly be sub not sure about him yet although he has a great cross on him he does dive and can definatly be a little shall we say brash in some of his tactics. Should be interesting.
'Tom Williams... has a great cross on him' I find that hard to believe, he was bloody awful for us! With the possible exception of Paul Gibbs & Carl Regan he's up there as one of the worst full backs with had at Oakwell.
He showed potential in pre season but when it came to competitive matches he looked nervous and out of his depth.
