Because according to Southampton fans they dominated for more or less all 90 minutes ff ff ff http://www.saintschat.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=116946
"The first 20 minutes we were awesome, there was only ever going to be one winner. How we didn't score is beyond me." What, we was on top in first 20 if anything!!
RE: "We should be beating teams like Barnsley" Because they are still receiving the parachute payments which means they can out spend teams like us. Isn't it time that this little lifeline for the ex prem clubs was stopped so that there is a more even playing field for teams in this division. Maybe thats the fluffy socialist in me thinking aloud.
I think i went to a different match. And do you know the saints sang for 2 solid hours???? Must remember next time to turn my hearing aid on
Most of the comments were fair enough I thought, they admitted to diving & they did have more chancesin the scond half. I think next year if we finish top half of the table that we would expect to get sonething against a eam who had come up through the playoffs without spending much money.
the idea is that becasue of the difference in income in this league it gives teams a chance to adapt back and time to off load the massive earners. In reality teams gamble and chase promotion
Unbelievable! Our fans were delighted with a point? We work hard but no guile? When their fans turn out like that the home fans dont know whats hit them? Their sighted helpers are right lying gets!!!
RE: Unbelievable! one of thems doing a university Course in Football business and coaching... oh dear whats academia come to. It makes Media Studies look like Pure Maths.
RE: Unbelievable! "When our fans turn out like that the home fans dont know whats hit them?" - Turn out like what? There weren't many there - no surprise given the distance and well done to those who came, but what is the guy going on about. apart from the odd chant of "yellow, yellow" did we hear them?!
Just one point on the singing from the centre of the ground, they did seem to sing much longer than us, in fact at times there was a deadly silence at our end, but thats not new is it, at one point we joined in with there singing of "when the saints go marching in" might have been a few different words, but I bet on the field our lads thought the whole ground was singing for them.
