Or did the ref give a drop ball which was to be challenged by both teams only for him to then throw the ball directly to their player giving Dawson absolutely no chance of winning it?
Even more bizarre was him giving the drop ball after the ball had already broken loose, so he could have just played on!
I thought the ref was supposed to throw the ball up and the ball was supposed to hit the ground before they contested it. He just threw it to the ground/hudds player

I recall in the first five minutes one of our lads took a kick to the head and the ref waved play on when our player was down with a head injury. Not even a foul or a stop in play. Then 10 minutes later dawson does the same to one of their players by accident and he gets booked
