Did Ritchie really want to progress in the cup?

I know when interviewed prior to the game he made all the right sounds about wanting to progress in the cup but was he REALLY bothered?

IF the MK Dons game on Saturday is the start of another winning run AND some decent team performances then I wont be bothered one bit about last nights enept performance and choice of tactics.

Respect to those that actually made the trip last night and had to endure the game. In all honesty though did anyone expect us to go there and win? i certainly didnt although I didnt expect us to roll over so easily either.

I don't accept that argument at all. Surely as a footballer or any sportsman or woman, one of your main attributes has to be wanting to best your opposition????

A win is a win & we have had precious little of those recently. I can see us mid table, rueing our wasted opportunity to have gone further in the cup, particularly if Walsall go on to do well.

Its not an argument or a point that im making. Just questioning whether or not Ritchie was really that bothered.

Maybe from a paying fans point of view a team should be seen to try their hardest to win every game. It would be naive to believe they do though.

I still fail to understand how a professional sportsman can't be bothered if they win or lose though.

Maybe Ritchie wasn't bothered, but I think it a bit short sighted particulary if we go on to have a bad game on Saturday.

We cant afford to not win on Saturday. Its as Simple as that!

Bet his midfield isnt the same against MK Dons.

    Rest Devaney.

McP and Burns in't middle, Howard on the left. Same midfield as against Rovrum at Millmoor when they actually stood up to a physical battle.

    RE: Rest Devaney.

Agreed. Hes been a bit in and out of late and with his pace would be a good player to bring on last 20 to run at tired defenders.

I doubt he wanted to lose, but sometimes losing happens.

It's all Ritchie's fault, obviously. And us crap fans.

Wasnt having a go at Ritchie

I like Ritchie. Im even a rarety on this board in seeing good things in Richards.

Just dont think he would be that disappointed to be out in the replay.
