    Oakwell has two stands with "Restricted View" seating

    The north stand has some stanchions up towards the back, and the Old west stand upper has stanchions too. In fact there a good many stadia around Britain that have this , so to say one of the few is well out .

    That's what I was thinking. The stand that they sit in every week at Oakwell has stanchions all over it so maybe I misheard them

    Think they were talking from a commentary position. At Oakwell i'd say they are in line with the stanchions so it doesn't effect their view.

    If we're talking in general, I always seem to get stuck behind one at Hillsbrough.

    The press box is forward of the support stanchions. It's quite fair to say there aren't many left. Goodison park still has thousands.

    Good point about the press box location. As far as grounds having stanchions in general (ie nothing to do with the press box) there are, by my reckoning, 11 grounds in the championship alone with them.
