Good job we defended so well, he was a liability, from corners in particular. Hope Steeley's not too far from recovery. Him & Gray are my only little grumbles on a great night for us.

    "From corners in particular"

Besides the corners, he had a solid game and made two very good saves.

bit harsh on the lad, when he's just come to us at the last minute.
That save he pulled off in the 1st half was amazing

Ya can tell hes a talented keeper that has hardly played in about 2 years like, was to be expected a bit but i thaught he did reasonable all considered and it was a good team performance all round!

if he hadn't made a good save late in the first half we would have gone in at 2-1 which would of changed the games outcome

I think he looked nervous and flapped a lot, but pulled off a couple of great saves. I thought he should have done better for the goal from the angle I was at, but watching it on sky maybe that's harsh

Don't think most keepers would have stopped their goal. Had too much swerve and power on it, fair play to dee dar lad, was a good goal.
But hay hoo, we still won!

    It took him a while.

Best quote, midway through the first half - 'he's had nowt to do and he's managed to blooming that up'! Great save to keep it 2-0 at the break.

RE: It took him a while.

They'll be better off Satday if he plays telling him to stay on his line & leave it to the defenders like we used to do wi Alma Colgan. Always baffles me though when a 6 foot odd keeper, who can virtually get away with GBH in the 6 yard box, can't come through and either catch or punch the ball away.

He suprised me in that he tried to catch the ball at waist height when surrounded, no sorry not for me, especially with a name like ........Tumatch Polony.

He got the Daily Mail MOTM with a 9 rating, closely followed by Hammill with an 8.

That proves they've just made up a report and said that because we only conceded one against the mighty WBA the keeper must have had a blinder and Hammil was 2nd because he scored.
