And when I heard De Silva was out I was really worried. We're away at a play-off chasing side who have a fantastic home record. I'm as disappointed as anyone with the current scoreline, but how the **** anyone can be losing their temper because we're losing to a team like Cardiff is beyond me. Get a grip FFS.

Reading and Wolves lost at home to FOrest and Plymouth, both auto promotion chasing, doesnt matter if they are chasing playoffs, we are chasing relegation with this CLOWN in charge,

because by the sounds of it we've gone there to lose? personally i like davey but there's no way we're going to get a result at cardiff by going there to defend, maybe if we last 2-0 but actually attacked and played the football that we know the team can play then i wouldn't be as annoyed at the scoreline

    Cardiff, Wolves, Reading, Birmingham.....

QPR, Sheff Utd, Preston, Burnley.......You could name another 5 or 6. Start picking a few homes and your left with 25 games to pick 50 points up from.

Should we look at the fixture list at the start of the season and start writing away games off. We are a championship club like the rest of them. We should at least compete against teams in our division.

If you are saying we should expect to lose at Cardiff then we shouldn't be in this division. Problem is this year is likely to be the year we go down.

If you think we're going to go the rest of the season without losing you're demented

If you already realise that we are going to lose some games then don't get so irate when we do. We're losing away from home to a good side. It happens.

I can't figure out if you're for real...

Do you really expect us to win and out perform every team in the league? Sometimes games just don't go your way, no matter how much effort you put in.

Of course I'm not saying we should expect to lose

What I'm saying is that after a good run where we've taken 7 points from 9 and we then come up against a good side and we end up losing then we should take the defeat with a bit better grace and accept there will be games where we do lose without calling for the managers head. I thought we were adults, not little kids.

how people can lose their temper over a match being played nearly 4 hrs away staggers me

I bet half the people hurling abuse aren't even listening to the match on the radio.

if you are not witnessing it personally you are therefore subject to another persons interpretation of the game. Has anyone thought that Cardiff might be playing us off the park dispite our team playing well???

    No I dont.

What im saying is is that people have come on here saying they didnt expect to get anything tonight.

As a barnsley fan I should not have to write off 75% of our away games at the start of the season. Howeverm currently I do - and none of us should have to do that.

    Good point that

I'm incredibly disappointed, and rather frustrated, but certainly not angry

And, credit to Davey/the players, it sounds a better performance this half

RE: Of course I'm not saying we should expect to lose

We got 7 points from 9 coming off 1 from 15

We have played the bottom three this year (two at home), taken one point and not scored against any of 'em

    Come on...

As soon as we can compete financially with the rest of the teams in the league and get the same amount of talent (which seems to be beginning to happen), then there's always some games you don't expect to win, regardless of whether they're away or not.

I'm sure Cardiff, Wolves, Reading play some teams where their fans don't expect to win. If you expect to win every game then you'll be massively disappointed.

Hey, I completely agree with everything you have said.

But you seem to be massively missing my point.

We are a championship side and I have to write off 75% available points away from home before a ball has been kicked. We are supposed to be an established championship side.

Davey has spent a lot of money both in wages, transfer fees and agents fees in 3 years - yet we have had limited improvement.

Forget the Cardiffs and Readings then. As a barnsley fan we shouldnt have to look at the fixture list and see we are playing the likes of Norwich, Palace and Blackpool and write the game off. But we do! And people on here seem to be accepting it.

    Fair enough...

But if you write off games then you're less disappointed when you lose. Tell you what, write off every single game till the end of the season, then see how happy you are when/if we win again.

Also, bet against us. Then it's kind of win-win cos if we lose you win money, if we win you're happy about the win.

Oh and... A relegation scrap makes the end of the season more dramatic and worth the money for the last few games. When you're mid table/safe then they just play the youth players but charge full price. When you're down there you get all the drama. Gimme that anyday!

    Yeah and...

last season when we played Cardiff away. Although I wouldn't fancy going down to Plymouth needing to win on the last day. Last home match to sort us out will do for me.
