What a absolute ****** just seen it from yesterday's game when he gos to get ball and then purposely barges into a steward seems he has to do something controversial every game.
He's quite rightly got a bad reputation but shouldn't have for yesterday. He didn't push the steward, spit etc like he's previous for. He barely moved a muscle in leaning down to pick up the ball and leaving the situation straight away. What was he suppose to do? The steward wasn't moving, made no attempt to get the ball for him and didn't even kick it slightly away from him so it was easier to get back. Poor stewarding really.
He could have quite easily got the ball without his body knocking into the stewards. If any of the other players go for that ball the just grab the ball with their hands and walk away. Fair enough the stewards could have passed him the ball the ball boy was running to get it for him but he got there first and did that purposely well that's how I saw it.
Give over. 1. It's not the stewards job to get the ball for him. 2. It is not natural to lean past a football and into a person to pick one up. Completely deliberate act by a tosspot
Absolute heap of nonsense. Costa is a ****** - we all know that, but he's done nothing there. A steward raising a complaint over that should have a long, hard look at himself. He'll have done more than that to fans for no reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
At Stoke everyone acts like dicks. Players, fans and now stewards. They have a shocking reputation. He knew he was trying to run down the clock for his club. If it wasn't someone with the rep of Costa nothing would have been said about it. The steward is in the wrong job for moaning about assault from someone leaning slightly on him.
I could have understood his actions if the steward had deliberately kicked the ball away from him, but he didn't. Also his mime to suggest that the Stoke player (Shawcross I think) stunk was uncalled for - the player did well not to thump him.
